In the world of iOS development, there are those who have computer science degrees and those that don’t. Without the unused libraries, it’s not so bad. No middleware is without its quirks, but Corona has the least of the them, and with the ones it has, it’s definitely the most manageable to work around with.

Heh, but it makes it a lot harder to write. I’ve decided that Commove is an ideal first project for Corona. This topic has been archived. I’m concerned about the interest in such a book. I don’t believe the trial version strips out unused libraries, but the release version does.

Now I have to start studying it… Thanks for nice guide. I was excited to see that a complicated Xcode project could be reduced to a single line of code, but it didn’t work out right. I like how easy it explains how to use the program.
Instead of tdxtbook fixing Commove, perhaps I can make it better with Corona. The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook has been temporarily removed from sale. The charts and examples help to quickly explain the advanced power of GameSalad expressions. I’m sure the Unofficial Corona Textbook would be a great asset to the community, as the GameSalad one was helpful as well.

Also, I think the best way to handle this matter is with a wiki – run by the community. But, only three weeks into development of my first game, I am able to throw in every feature I want in a game, minus Game Center, almost gameswlad if I’m doing it out of spite towards my previous GDK. I understand the software a lot more than I thought. I’m planning to start work on the project tomorrow. I think an open source project online would be best, where everyone could contribute. That annoys me, as I’m so not happy with Google! I even figured out simple stuff, like creating the GameSalad equivalent of Attributes. If so, that’s going to be tricky with the narrow screen. There are common themes between the two SDKs. However, I’m not sure if there’s enough interest in such a book – not from me anyway.
Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s a possible solution yet.
